Merry Christmas from our family to yours. We wish you a wonderful time filled with family, food, and fun. More posts to come soon, but for now I am off to sit in front of the fire with a hot cup of tea and my favorite people.

Monday: Luckily we are invited to Ron's Oma and Opas's house for dinner tonight. Yum! Dinner always seems to taste better when it is made by someone else. I'm not sure what is on the menu, but it is bound to be delicious.
Tuesday: BBQ Farmer Sausage and Rice with Tomato salad. This simple and quick dinner is always a hit at our house. I can't go wrong when I make some delicious Remple's Farmer Sausage.
Wednesday: I am heading out for dinner to celebrate my good friend Michelle's birthday. Ron and Naomi will probably enjoy some tasty Sloppy Joes or some good old fashioned meatloaf with mashed potatoes.
Thursday: Chicken and Rice Pilaf with steamed veggies. By this time in the week it is defiantly time to add some chicken to the dinner routine. This dinner is Naomi's favorite. She loves nearly any dish that combined rice and chicken,
Friday: Katletten with Pasta Salad and raw veggies with dip. Kattletlen are small homemade meatballs that are deep fried in oil on the stove top. They are delicious but certainly should not be eaten too often. The pasta salad is simple with eggs and cut up pickles. I'm looking forward to it!
Saturday and Sunday: I find that over planning my menu for the week gets to be a little overwhelming. I usually leave the weekends open for a spontaneous get together or going out to eat.
So there you have it my plan for the week. I think that it will be good. What are you going to make for dinner this week?
This week Naomi has been saying "hOOMMe" and "Dadda" together a lot. Ron has been gone for the last 5 days. He went to Barrie, Ontario to be at his uncles wedding and to visit his brother Brian and sister-in-law Hilary. Naomi has missed his SO much, sometimes I think she misses him almost as much as me. All week she asked me about where her Dadda was and if he would be there when she got home.
Althoght the week seemed long we made it! Ron is comming home tonight! This is the longest time we have ever been away from each other. I sure missed him a lot and I can't wait for him to get home. This week has reminded me again of how lucky I am to have such a wonderful husband. I have a renewed appreciation for all he does to help me each day. I'll post some pictures of his adventure soon, but for the next few days I will just enjoy having my family back together under one roof again.
When I look at her now, it is undeniable that my baby is slipping away and a feisty little toddler is blossoming in her place.
We are SO proud of her!
Here vocabulary is growing every day. She seems to learn new words and signs all the time. So far she can say: Mama, Dada, Doggy, Hi, Yup, No, home, UhOh, Delicious, Yum, Up, all done, Oma, Opa, Ivory (my parents dog), cheese (when smiling for the camera), and juice.
Her repertoire of signs has expanded too. She can sign please, more, milk, bird, bath, all done, blowing kisses, and waving.
Last time we weighed her she was 30 pounds but she may be more by now. She is wearing size 2 clothes, but most of her pants are still to long.
My precious little girl. I love you more than you will ever know. I am so proud to be your Mama. Every time I look at you my heart fills with pride and joy. I love watching you discover the world around you, as you challenge yourself to learn new skills. I am learning to let you try new things, even though I am nervous that you will fall and get hurt. I always want to be there to catch you, but I know that you have to learn some things on your own. Naomi, I wish that I could be there to prevent every "owie", but I know it's impossible. I am learning to trust God to keep you safe, and He has been faithful.
My prayer for you my girl is that you will continue to grow and experience the world, and that you would embrace your God given uniqueness. I love you and will always be your biggest fan. Go and conquor the world darling, I will always be behind you cheering you on.

the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false
friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, or a garden patch... to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This
is to have succeeded!" - Emerson
