Camping with Friends

A few weekends ago we packed up the car and headed out to Hope Valley Campground for our last trip of the summer. We spent the weekend with our good friends and their families. There were 6 adult and 6 children age 3 and under. Needless to say we have a busy and fantastic time!

At the playground there is a HUGE slide. Naomi kept wanting to climb up the ladder, but I was so nervous that she would slip and fall down. I tried to distract her with the other playground options but she kept running straight to the big slide. Finally Ron took her down the side. I was SO nervous as they were climbing up, but as you can see everything was fine. I guess I will never stop being the over protective and paranoid Mom.

On Sunday morning we packed up and headed home. Naomi was so tuckered from all the excitement that she didn't even stay awake until we were on the freeway, and she slept all the way home.

the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false
friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, or a garden patch... to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This
is to have succeeded!" - Emerson
