Update

Sorry I know that it has been far to long since my last post. I can't believe how fast time goes now that Naomi is here. Today she is 6 weeks old! Wow! We have had a great time in the past few weeks.

Four generations on the Born side of the family. All female and all the first born in our families. It was so special to see my Oma holding her first great grandchild. I love to hear her sing to Naomi, just like she used to sing to me when I was a little girl.

We had a great Easter season! It was great to celebrate with our families. What a blessing to have the freedom to celebrate the risen Christ. It was great to introduce Naomi to her extended family.

We went to Cultus Lake for my Grad BBQ a few weekends ago. We had a great time even though the weather was a little cold.

I even got a chance to go get a haircut. It feels great to get a chance to take care of myself and spend some time getting pampered.

On Friday we got to go out for lunch to celebrate Ron's Oma's birthday. We had a wonderful time. Naomi did great in the resturant and did not disturb any of the other patrons...... Thats all for now....Naomi is crying and needs to eat.... Motherhood calls.

3 weeks

Wow, has it really been three weeks already? I can't believe that Naomi has been in our lives for almost a month. The time is flying by! I thought that I would take this rare oppertunity to update my blog. Naomi is taking a nap, but is going to wake up soon. I often feels like every day is just like the one before it, especially when I don't get a chance to get out of the house. It is amazing how quickly my life has changed. I now live my life in 3 hour intervals, based on her feeding and sleeping schedule. Although it is hard at times I am still enjoying being a mom. Naomi is a very good baby and such a joy to have in our lives.
Ron is such a great dad! He takes such good care of her, and even stays up with her in the middle of the night when she is wide awake and just wants to be held. It warms my heart to see him interacting with his little girl. It is clear to see that Naomi is wrapped around his little finger :)

We had fun this week taking some cute pictures of Naomi to use for her birth anouncement. This one is my favorite. We set her up with this little parisol and dressed her up in this little outfit that she got from her Oma (Ron's Mom). I can't wait to see her dressed up in all the other cute outfits that she has hanging in her closet.
"To laugh often and much, to win
the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false
friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, or a garden patch... to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This
is to have succeeded!" - Emerson
