of Franz Born (1931-2008)
Tonight at 5:50 pm my Opa left this earth and entered into glory. He had suffered from Parkinson's for a few years and had been living at Menno Home for the past 2 1/2years.
He had a stroke on Boxing Day and never fully recovered. The family has been by his side ever since. We love you Opa and we will miss you!
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8
My Opa and Oma singing love songs to each other on Christmas Day 07
He leaves behind his loving wife Martha, His children Elizabeth and Henry, Peter and Agnes, Maria and Jura, Will and Louise, and Agnes, 14 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
I am proud to say that I am Frank Born's granddaughter. He was a man of God who loved his wife and loved his family. Each of his children and grandchildren are Christian, and I know that this is as a result of the endless prayers of my Opa and Oma.
Thank you Opa for the legacy that you have left for your family, we will miss you!

Sorry to hear of the passing of your Opa. He sounded like a wonderful man and Opa. It is such a good feeling to know where he is. When a loved one is a child of God we don't need to be worried about his life after death. He will be greatly missed by the ones who loved him.

I'm sorry to hear about your Opa! The image of he and your Oma singing love songs with that accordian brought a tear to my eye. Beautiful!
