Earlier this week someone asked me what I do for work. I am a Domestic Engineer. It is a full time job looking after Naomi and keeping up with the housework. I have a great admiration for all those women who are able to work full time at a job outside of the home and still look after their housework and children. My hats off to you!
This week has been filled with working at home. I am always amazed that there is so much to do just to keep the house running. My days were filled with laundry, cleaning, and dishes. I always feel better when I know that the house is all clean and the laundry is done.
I tackled a big project this week. I decided to make my own baby food. I was not sure how difficult it would be, but I gave it a try. It turned out to be easier than I thought, thanks to the Magic Bullet that I received as a shower gift from my mother-in-law. Thanks Mom! I decided to start out with Sweet Potato, Peas, Carrots, Blueberries, Pears, and Peaches. I boiled the veggies and fruit and pureed them with a bit of water in the Bullet. Then I poured it into ice cube trays and froze them overnight. They all turned out great! Here is a picture of the finished product.
However I am so blessed that my day is not all work. I am so lucky to be Naomi's Mama. It makes everything I do worth it. Naomi is growing up so much every day! I can't believe that my little baby girl is already over 6 months old. She is rolling around on the floor, picking up toys, and sitting up all by herself. I can't get enough of her little chuckle and her beautiful smile. She is the light of my day!

Hi Lorraine... thanks for commenting on my blog! :) Did you and I meet at one point? I think I remember being at your house with Esther once and your mom got a beesting and she is allergic... ring a bell? If not, nevermind... haha!
How do you know Rosanna? I've linked to her blog from my friend Leanne's way back in May and I've been feeling inspired by her as I read about her painful journey.
Being a mom is hard work, and it sounds like you're doing a great job. Good for you for making your own baby food... I think I'll do the same when I'm a mom. Avoid all those awful preservatives and pesticides!!!
Anyways, there's always room for more commentors on my blog! Welcome!
