I really wanted to get some professional pictures taken of Naomi for her first birthday. As I was asking around about photographers I read a post by Leah at The Informal Matriarch mentioning that she would like to start a photography business. I had been reading her blog for a while and have always admired the wonderful pictures that she captures of her precious sons. I decided to contact her and set up our photo shoot, and on Saturday morning we headed to Gardener Park.
Today I got an email from Leah with a sneak peek at the pictures that she took. Check out the great pictures that Leah Shannon Photography captured. I am SO happy with how they turned out. Yay! My favorite ones so far are the family picture on the bridge and the closeup of Naomi with her pink toque. What do you think? I can't wait to see the rest!
Thanks Leah! I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants so great photos of their kids. I really like that she has captured Naomi's personality, and that the pictures don't feel posed and formal.

11 months
Wow! I know I write this every month, but I really can't believe how fast our little baby is growing up! When I saw the pictures that I included in this post I realized that our little Naomi is looking more and more like a little girl, the baby stage will soone be long gone.
She never ceases to amaze us with the new things that she is learning everyday. All day long she walks around the house picking up anything that strikes her fancy. She esspecially loves finding every fuzz on the carpet and promptly putting in her mouth. I would not be surprised if she has a little fuzz ball in her tummy. Gross!
Her little personality is shinning through more each day, sometimes I think that we may have a DIVA on our hands. She definatly knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it, even if I tell her no. She is full of smiles and giggles and is constantly talking to herself as she plays.
I can honestly say that motherhood has surprised, challenge, and changed me more than I ever expected. I don't think that I was prepared for how much it would change my life. I had a cognitive knowledge of what it would be like to have a child, but I never expected the expereince to be so intense. I strive to be a better person, wife, and mother because of her. Thankyou Naomi, you are truely a precious gift from God.
"To have a child is to forever have your heart walking around outside your body" (I am not sure who wrote this phrases,but it sure is true)
