I am writing this post outside on my front porch watching the Canada Day fireworks light up the sky, as the air finally cools down to a comfortable temperature. Don't you just love wireless Internet and pyrotechnics?
Anyway. We are back and we had a marvelous time! What a great time to spend with family and relax in the HOT sun. The average daily temperature was 36 degrees, but it did not seem as hot as it would in the Lower Mainland.
The drive up started around 4pm on Friday. We loaded up the van and the truck and off we went. After a few stops for some food and stretching we arrived in Penticton around 9pm. We all agreed that it was nice to already be there on Friday night instead of trying to drive on Saturday morning.
We had so much fun together and I think I will let the pictures mainly speak for themselves. Simply put: When is the next long weekend? I can hardly wait!

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. So today we packed up our vehicles again and made the long trip home again.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. So today we packed up our vehicles again and made the long trip home again.
We're off to Penticton for some fun in the sun with Ron's family, and we won't be back till Tuesday. That's right 5 glorious days of relaxing, eating, and swimming (well as much as I can while still looking after a very busy one year old). I can't wait to get there!
